I got into this whole coupon thing because I simply needed to cut back on spending. I have a huge amount of debt and a pretty crappy paying job compared to my debt-to-income ratio, how else am I supposed to move forward? You know, the whole bullshit about “living within your means”, never put yourself in a situation where you’re going to have to live paycheck to paycheck? Well if reality hasn’t hit you yet, watch out. Don’t take it as a warning, just as an example.
I have yet come to an understanding of why people decide to end their lives because of materialistic things. Listening to the news about recession and the impact on the economy is sure draining but in actuality you only have your own life to control and your families’ well being to look after. If you choose not to care for either or then I guess it only means you’ve given up, but why should you?
It’s hard to look beyond just what you have or don’t have, it really is, and honestly sometimes it can get the best of you. That is when it’s okay to cry like you’ve never cried, curse like you just don’t give a damn and dance like no one is looking at your ripped pants showing your underwear.
The internet is probably one of the top 5 best inventions I’ve witnessed and experienced in my lifetime aside from Avon Strawberry Flavor Saver lip gloss, Vaseline petroleum jelly, Google.com, GPS and Keyless entry. I know quite the random list but I’m obsessed with the lip gloss.
The internet is a learning tool, it’s also the friend that you probably never had. You find strangers to chat with about subjects you probably would never discuss with people you know in reality. And of course like reality, there are the bad and there are the goods. There are actually plenty of people who are helpful, willing to listen, willing to teach you and guide you through things. It’s probably not that rare of an occasion since I have the hardest time trusting anyone but managed to develop some great relationships with online buddies which I lack with my real friends in reality.
I’ve learned so much because of these people that are empowering others with their knowledge, passing that knowledge on to others without hesitation. And from these examples, I’ve decided why not pass it along some more but simplified.
Actually, this domain was given to me by godaddy.com during a promotion for free. At the time, I bought something on buy.com and I was eligible for a free domain name. I couldn’t think of anything so I just used my nickname.
After debating and being lazy for a LONG period of time, I decided I had to do something about the stockpile I had at home. I started the whole shopping as an extreme couponist since about 2008, I just shopped and collected my goods, and it was getting to the point of losing space…so it was organization time.
So I thought hey since I have a website, let me just make a catalogue. It was tedious, taking pictures, naming the files, editing the pictures and etc. Then I got bored and stopped so the site was limping for another long period of time. The site’s server was also moved and my site was taken offline for a few months and I didn’t even notice!
But now I am back, I’m changing directions of the site. I am no longer using it for the sole purpose of keeping track of my stock. I’m going to share some random knowledge that might be useful to others.
